Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. This position is charged with responsibility to ensure the quality of care is delivered consistently to the resident population. The DON will be responsible for the clinical outcomes of this newly built, beautiful, state of the art nursing facility.
Job Requirements: Seeking an energetic self-starter with unyielding work ethic and motivation to work with a great team. The incumbent must have knowledge of the current State and Federal regulations for nursing facilities in long term care. Must be able to create and maintain a helpful, understanding and empathetic atmosphere toward the residents and employees. Must be able to exercise independent judgment, make decisions and follow-through on them. Education/Training: Registered Nurse in Texas. Minimum of 2 years of management in a LTC setting.
