North Dakota was awarded $226,000; Hawaii, $836,000; Ohio, $2.29 million; and Massachusetts, $3.56 million. The stimulus bill, or American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, provides a 90% federal match for state planning activities to administer EHR incentive payments to Medicaid providers.
The funds also go toward activities to ensure proper payments through audits, and promote interoperability and meaningful use of EHR technology.
