Kassandra I never saw this comment I focus in going right to replies and think that one post is getting confusing for some reason.

I am impressed with your idealism and that is a compliment part of me will always be that way and everytime I see some run of the mill, rip you off, lie to staff, destroy residents type Administrator I want to scream--there comes a time when you just refuse to work with those people; I normally really need to have a good Administrator; I want someone I can walk hand in hand with MAKE ROUNDS before morning meeting together; this last "wizard" could use age as her issue but she is probably the dirtiest one I've known yet and I could not stomach another moment. Of course I wasted several months to be frank allowing this company to play me into "we love the residents" and the RNC's all I mean ALL sang this song...

Now with my one daughter in need out in Virginia we shall see what God puts forth; I wonder sometimes since HE knows I am honest and also know how to market and make money why HE does not intervene well not my choice I'll just have to tough it out.

Do not be afraid to jump in and do your job. Don't listen to half the comments they make man I hate when nursing tries to scare new Administrators and then bitch that they cannot be a team well duh.

Choose the place you'd love to work; Illinois is up and down with offerings Texas would be great for you; NO STATE TAX we need good Administrators you might be able to get a deal with a good relocation and so forth (you will need that), and stay away from "Daybreak" long story privately owned but owns 90 or more in the state but they do not own the buildings interesting if you want to smell urine and feces embedded forever and a day then work there but its far worse then that I'd stay clear of them, you want to be with someone big enough and consistent enough; have you looked into Fundamental?

Part 2
They do more then consulting they actually pick up and own many of the places now they were going to buy Daybreak I was being chased by both at the time ESS placed me with yet another LTC company a decent one but NOT for nursing.

Fundamental can be a good starting point for you and like I said some of these companies are more concerned with getting a good match and then getting your licensure in their state. I would also say to look at some of the REALLY big companies now SAVA is middle sized and WILL NOT DO SUB ACUTE which is where the market is going hospitals will be gone soon enough but they have lots of places all over the U.S. and I am very gung ho on Sunbridge and Kindred; they are SUPER SIZED and I have never been on their payroll yet but I will do "dirty work" and come in to consult problem is right now I need some steady diet and am really more ready to be a Regional one building is not where I belong oh well...

I would LOVE absolutely to have an Administrator like you to work with meaning yes DON to. And that is a compliment for I am very proactive was NOT born a nurse just happened to become one and I choose what my gut tells me from within. I think Texas would be a good learning foundation ground; we have hard core regulations and think our culture here and it is different I mean Houston is a different country from West Texas but is a good one--people respect family here, no state tax, and it is a beautiful state.

My private email is toughyou@aol.com so if you want to talk more in private feel free to I like you a lot and would love to watch you blossom as Administrator we need good ones you have the materials :)
