Recruiting Director - CPT Rehab

Community Physical Therapy serving patients since 1986

Community Physical Therapy & Associates was founded in 1986 by Bob Tripicchio, MS, PT, on the premise that people are the most important asset of any organization. For years, CPT was devoted exclusively to the delivery of home care services, but in 1996 expanded to include an on-site Medicare certified out-patient clinic and staffing/management of skilled nursing facility rehab departments.

In 1999, a Wellness division was added to emphasize the need for overall well being and preventative medicine. Despite this expansion, CPT has remained focused on building a practice that creates value for patients and payers. Our purpose is not to maximize the number of treatments but instead to maximize the capabilities of our employees and leverage the best rehabilitation knowledge possible. We can then provide optimal clinical outcomes at the most appropriate resource level.

CPT is also committed to creating new approaches to health care delivery by proactively managing care using well defined protocols that demand accountability. We provide a sophisticated information system which tracks clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and costs so that we as professionals have the opportunity to make positive changes in our approach to patient care. Our practice continuously expands upon the knowledge we have secured, using it as a catalyst to further growth and development of the rehabilitation profession.

In conclusion, we believe that CPT is unique from other rehab practices in that we have a dedicated management team of experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds. These people are ready and able to help you meet your operating needs both quickly and effectively and to assist with any special projects you may have. We are proud that several of our managers have held offices within the American Physical therapy Association, the Illinois Physical Therapy Association and the National Association for Home Care. This allows CPT to keep current with changes in the industry as they occur and to help set the standards for appropriate rehab care.

Our Vision
To work together as a team, providing and stimulating improvement of the whole while fostering individuality and professional growth.

Our Mission
CPT will be the leader in rehabilitation services by focusing on learning, teaching, research, outcome studies and patient focused care involving employees at all levels. We will foster a professional, ethical and legal environment for the practice of physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapies, while promoting these professions as an essential component of health care.

Our Beliefs
CPT will foster and promote:

Quality care
A client centered focus with satisfaction at all levels
Employee integrity and accountability
Improvement through ongoing education
Partnering with all health professionals
Community involvement

Our Staff
CPT currently employs physical, occupational, and speech therapists for home health and skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings, and respiratory therapists for SNFs throughout the seven-county Chicagoland area. The required credentials for every therapist are electronically scanned into our computer so that they are readily available when needed and are easily kept up to date. All staff are also provided with a pager, fax and voice mail to help ensure timely communication. This information is mailed to you on a monthly basis so that you and your staff are able to maintain a current listing.

CPT has a rigorous competency program for all staff which consists of a thorough orientation, therapist self assessment, supervisory observation, skills assessment, a review of treatment patterns and yearly educational requirements. Each year, several key areas are selected by the Director of Professional Services as current issues that promote comprehensive and consistent quality of care. All therapists are required to attend in-service sessions covering these areas, which are presented in a "lab" format that allows for interaction and feedback on key processes.

Under traditional Quality Assurance Programs, "expert" judgement set the standards. On the other hand, the now current Continuous Quality Improvement Programs use data in order to create such standards as care maps and critical pathways which in turn lead to desired outcomes. One of the primary roles of a manager is to effectively interpret the variance that occurs with pathways and care maps in order to make decisions that will better meet customer needs. The more effective this interpretation, the better motivated the workforce will be, the higher the profitability and the higher the benefits to society.

CPT has developed an extensive outcome program based on data collected since 1991. This has allowed us to grasp the fundamentals of new developments in healthcare as they occur, internalize their effect on operations and in turn deliver higher quality services to our clients. We would be happy to provide your organization with a presentation about our program and how it is structured as well as on more specific outcome data.
